Dolphins and Kids

THE CALL OF THE DOLPHIN PROGRAM

Dolphins evoke feelings of joy to all people. People who interact with dolphins often report that they feel renewed by the experience of unconditional love. THE CALL OF THE DOLPHIN PROGRAM intends to assist Latino children with special needs of low-income families with the opportunity to rehabilitate through Dolphin-Assisted-Therapy (DAT). DAT has been shown to dramatically improve conditions such as: clinical depression, cerebral palsy, autism, Down Syndrome, among others. It is a remedial treatment that gives children the possibility to receive a non-invasive therapy with the dolphins unconditional love. Dolphins bond with the children as soon as they enter the water. Their playful demeanor instantly establishes an emotional channel of communication that unlocks the child’s power to heal from within. Our purpose is to give other options to families and have the opportunity to assist their children to rehabilitate. CEPA’s objective through THE CALL OF THE DOLPHIN PROGRAM is to assist underprivileged children who without our help would not be able to take these trips and experience the benefits of Dolphin-Assisted-Therapy.

I found this posting very motivational & inspirational. I did not realize the strength & power of dolphins & believe that it is a miracle how they can help the children in rehabilitation. It makes me want to swim with them myself & feel it is amazing how the dolphins can show unconditional love.
